Massive news for World of Warcraft after announcing the Dragonflight update. Blizzard has confirmed that they'll reveal a Warcraft mobile game next week.
The announcement will come on May 3 during a live stream and is the answer to the clue Blizzard had previously dropped when they said their plan for 2022 was to get "all-new mobile Warcraft content into players' hands for the first time." They had also previously stated multiple mobile games were in development, so it'll be exciting to see which concept they release first.
"This will create opportunities for both existing players and new fans to experience the Warcraft universe in entirely new ways," CEO Bobby Kotick mentioned during a previous announcement.
The recent Dragonflight reveal received great feedback as players, for the first time, will have a combination of race and class for the first time. Fans were spoiled as Blizzard announced the World of Warcraft Lich King Classic re-release at the same time. While Blizzard didn't confirm a release date for Dragonflight, they did confirm that Dragonflight will introduce new areas in the Dragon Isles. The Dragon Isles will take place across four unique zones, the Waking Shores, the Ohn'ahran Plains, the frosty peaks of the Azure Span and the spires and temples of Thaldraszus. The Lich King Classic is confirmed for a release later this year and will be free for players.
