Just as we were delivered some new gameplay footage for Gotham Knights from Warner Bros Games, we were also delivered some unfortunate news.
Warner Bros Games announced that the game would be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC but won't be available for PS4 or Xbox One. This is massively disappointing news for many players as the new generation consoles are still extremely hard to get a hold of or extremely overpriced on the secondary market.
"Gotham Knights is scheduled to launch worldwide on Oct. 25, 2022.
"Please note, to provide players with the best possible gameplay experience, the game will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC and will not be available for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One consoles."
The game was initially set to be released last year but was delayed as WB Games Montreal wanted to provide "more time to deliver the best possible experience for players."
Despite an update to the game's PSN page indicating that it might handle four players, Gotham Knights looks to be two-player only for the time being. Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl, and Red Hood can all be chosen; however, it's unclear whether certain tasks need the employment of specific characters.
Warner Bros Games blessed fans with a 14minute long video on Tuesday where game director Geoff Ellenor walked people through the game and explained how each character differs.
