This week was a tough break for Sony as one of their newest and most hyped releases had to be put offline for maintenance. Fans took to social media to complain after Gran Turismo 7 was pushed offline for over a day. The work was called "extended server maintenance" and was a big blow to fans because most of the game requires an online connection, even for single-player content.

The PS5 exclusive, according to a Twitter problem, is currently dealing with an issue found in their latest update.

"Due to an issue found in Update 1.07, we will be extending the Server Maintenance period, We apologize for this inconvenience and ask for your patience while we work to resolve the issue."

The only sales data from the game so far comes from the UK and Japan, where the game has outsold GT Sport and has hit around 235k copies during its opening weeks there. Some leaked data shows that over 50% of those sales came online in the UK.
