Nintendo has been relatively quiet about The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, aside from their recent announcement that the game has been delayed. However, now we might have a significant idea of the plot.
The source is pretty interesting because it's Daruk's Italian voice actor Pietro Ubaldi who, in an interview with Lega Hyrule, revealed that not only did he voice Daruk but also Goron's character's ancestor. Both characters raise eyebrows as Daruk passes into the afterlife at the end of the first game.
With the theme of the series being time, this might be a big clue that Link will now have to face characters from the "ancient times" about 10,000 years prior. Some trailers have even shown an injured version of Link in a toga which could be himself from ancient times.
The game has been delayed until 2023, so Nintendo has taken the stance not to reveal any subtitle as it would give away a bigger idea of the plot.
"As for why we're holding back on the name, you'll just have to stay tuned because, obviously, Zelda names are kind of important," Nintendo'sNintendo's Bill Trinen told IGN last year. "Those subtitles… they start to give little bits of hints about maybe what's going to happen."
The game will, without a doubt, be one of the most anticipated games of 2023.
