It's one of the most anticipated upcoming reboots as Naughty Dog is putting together a Last of Us remake. The game is expected to be a PS5 exclusive and could be released by the end of 2022.
Popular insider Tom Henderson recently shared that the game is "near completion," according to his sources, and Naughty Dog's Co-President Neil Druckmann revealed he's "dying to share" what his team has been working on, which many believe is a hint at the Last of Us remake.
The latest comes from Michael Huber from the Easy Allies. Huber reports that the game will feature a new Factions mode. Many believe that the new factions mode would entice both new players and former Last of Us players to pick up the PS5 remake. To top it off, the multi-player mode would more than likely be a free-to-play experience.
The Last of Us is one of the best-selling PS3 games of all time, and thanks to its PS4 remaster has sold almost 20 million copies. Upon its original release, it won multiple Game of The Year Awards and scored a perfect 10/10 on numerous review platforms, including IGN. In addition, it was the second-highest-rated game in 2013 on Metacritic after Grand Theft Auto V.
