With Disney putting the finishing touches on The Mandalorian Season 3, ZeniMax might be working on the finishing touches for a Mandalorian MMO on Xbox. The rumor comes after two separate leaks regarding the possibility.
It would be an intelligent move from Lucasfilm Games as Star Wars is currently on fire. The recent Lego Star Wars release, the ongoing development of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 and Ubisoft's upcoming open-world Star Wars game. Thanks to EA's ten-year exclusive Star Wars deal coming to an end, it opens the doors for a wider variety of gaming content. The sky is the limit, and Lucasfilm Games is taking that approach as we also got the announcement of a Star Wars game with Amy Hennig from Unchartered success.
The info comes from a couple of popular Xbox leakers and has resurfaced after initially starting to circulate last year. It's not surprising that the rumored game is an MMO considering ZeniMax was also behind Elder Scrolls. Unfortunately, there are no official details to be found anywhere besides that Zenimax Online Studios IP is in the works, but no connections being a Star Wars title.
Another detail that has led some to believe the game will be an Xbox exclusive is that Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic will be a PS5 exclusive. With the sales potential of a Mando game, it would be a bold move to feature it only on Xbox. Time will tell.
