An extensive 2022 for Star Wars fans and gamers continues as not only will Star Wars: The Force Unleashed make its Switch debut, but it's been announced some physical copies will be available. Hot off the heels of the massive LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga release on all platforms, Nintendo will ride that momentum by releasing the popular 2008 game, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
Limited Run Games has confirmed that there will be some physical copies of the game along with being able to purchase it in the Switch eShop. If you remember, it's different than the Skywalker Saga as it doesn't take place in the movies and has a unique storyline as you play as Starkiller, Darth Vader's apprentice. What seems pretty cool about it is that you can use motion controls while playing.
The game was previously available on the Wii however had some minor performance issues and should fit better on the Switch. Along with its announcement that there would be some physical copies available, Limited Run Games also revealed there would be some collector editions. Items included will be art cards, posters and a SteelBook and, for the master edition, a Light-up Holocron Replica, Starkiller Lightsaber Hilt Replica, and a Foil Hardcover Strategy Guide.
Six-week open pre-orders start on April 15th at 10 am EST.
