Lost Ark is an MMORPG that is characterized by its breathtaking visuals, effects and large, vibrant world to explore. In short, players are promised an immersive world with a lot to explore; however, this game is particularly engaging because of how frequently it is updated. Fans are regularly promised new content that includes new areas, classes and various cosmetics such as the recently implemented Omen collection which was released earlier in March of this year. After a recently successful western release, the team has made their plans and ideologies for future updates very clear, stating that they aspire to provide the community with seamless updates that transition from one update to another. This means that players can expect a clearer gaming experience with many options for exploration and progression, without it feeling overwhelming.

 

What Exactly Can the Community Expect with New Updates?

New Classes

For starters, updates are planned to be implemented much sooner rather than later and will provide players with a set of new classes to experiment with. The new martial artist advanced class, Glavier, is the expected first class to be released. This class prioritizes comboing skills and weaving between stances that focus on quick strikes, the Flurry stance, or large powerful attacks, the Focus stance. Players can expect that this class will be released sometime in April, while the new warrior advanced class, Destroyer, will release sometime in May. This class prioritizes being at the center of combat and manipulating the pacing of enemy fights with a variety of skills that control their position. Both classes aim to provide a fresh, new approach to these well known classes.

 

 

South Vern, A Brand New Region to Explore

A new area is also planned for release sometime in April. The new area will be another Tier 3 continent, meaning that players need to have an item level of 1340 if they want to explore South Vern; however, there are also plans for a multitude of rewards and updates that will help newer players expedite the leveling process. Once again, the development team wants players to progress at their own rate and enjoy content at a pace that feels comfortable for them, so players shouldn't feel rushed to engage with new content including the new area, South Vern.

 

New Plans, Raids, and What the Future Holds

Various general updates, cosmetic changes and UI improvements are planned for development; however, players can most certainly look forward to a new Guardian Raid as well as a new Legion Raid on the horizon. Since the team doesn't want the community to feel pressured to engage with these raids, release dates may vary and these may even be released after May. Both raids encourage players to cooperate or think about new strategies for approaching difficult fights. Generally speaking, players can expect that content down the line will focus on providing more freedom and customization.
