It's a good day to be an employee for Capcom in Japan.  The company announced Japanese employees would receive a 30% raise on their base salaries and be able to take advantage of a new bonus system. Capcom has recorded nine years of operating income growth and five of the last nine years included consecutive years of record profits.

With a new HR system in place, the company adds that it will continue to grow and improve its employee performance review system to help improve staff compensation. In a recent email to employees, Capcom revealed it created a new chief HR office position to help sort all this out.

"Driven by its philosophy of being a Creator of Entertainment Culture that Stimulates Your Senses, Capcom will work to address the issues facing our society while aiming improve its corporate value and establishing a relationship of trust with employees and stakeholders," it said.

Among its recent big hitters have been Resident Evil Village which has sold 5.7million units, and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Rubin, which has sold 1.4million units. Much like how Rockstar could live off GTA profits until the end of time, Capcom seems to be able to do the same with Resident Evil and Moster Hunter, as the two franchises accounted for 70% of Capcom's profits last year.
