"The number of people experiencing Call of Duty on mobile each month almost matched those playing on console and PC in 2021", Activision Blizzard stated in its annual report.

Activision has stated that it is developing a mobile version of Call of Duty Warzone. It would be a free-to-play battle royale game version of the game that debuted in March 2020 and surpassed 100 million players in only 13 months. The game is expected to be released sometime in 2022.

They've also created an internal mobile game development studio called Solid State which will work on the new entry into the Call of Duty series. Solid State could also be helping with the upcoming development of Diablo and Warcraft games which are expected to come out later this year. Diablo is slated for a June 2nd release, while no official release date has been confirmed for Warcraft Arclight Rumble.
