The very popular Among Us is the latest to fall victim to online hackers. This time it's a DDoS attack, and the game has been down for over two days in North America and Europe. It started with some lagging server issues before the game was down and was impossible to connect to.
Innersloth would eventually confirm that the game was under attack, and it would likely take a while to fix the problem. However, the servers are still down, and Innersloth provided an update as of this writing.
"servers are still down while we work to fix the DDoS sabotage. They may come on/off but will update u when we think they're stable, sorry!!!"
The official Among Us Twitter account has had some fun with the situation, which has made some unhappy, thinking that Innersloth isn't taking the problem seriously. However, the team at Innersloth has been working very hard to get everything back up and running again.
The DDoS attacks follow up a heavy week of hacking where a different group went at Microsoft, Samsung and more.
Among Us was inspired by the Mafia party game and has become one of the most popular online games. After coming out on iOS and Android, the game has been added to Windows, Nintendo Switch, PS 4/5, Xbox One, and Series X/S.
